Sandra Christie is a photo restorer, metalsmith and kaleidoscope artist. She received her BFA from Parsons School of Design in NYC and studied in Paris. Sandra started creating stained glass kaleidoscopes in 1991 and silversmithing in 1998. Her work has evolved through the years as she combined her kaleidoscope glass work with her love of metalsmithing. Her kaleidoscopes are now constructed of silver, brass, copper, and nickel. She has taught at Parsons School of Design, the Silvermine Artists Guild, Hudson Valley Silverworks and is currently offering workshops in kaleidoscope making and etching at the Guilford Art Center and Annealed Studio in Cranford, NJ. Her work can regularly be seen in shows along the CT Shoreline including The Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven, Wesleyan Potters’ Annual Exhibit in Middletown and The Shoreline Arts Trail Open Studio in Guilford. Her work has been on display in the International Spectrum Kaleidoscope Exhibit at the Strathmore Arts Center.
Sandra resides in Guilford CT with her awesome hubby and many furry and finned family members.
